Interview from Jen
On a scale of 1-10 rate your overall opinion of this restaurant:
Jen: I would rank it a 9 on a scale of 1-10. The food was delicious, but I suppose that contributed to the problem. It is a very small restaurant, and there is no seating inside. There are a few tables with umbrellas outside, but since it is such a popular and busy place, it's hard to find a seat. We grabbed a table when someone left, and enjoyed our waffles.

What was the best thing you ate?
Jen: I had the Torpedo Waffle. It is a Liege waffle (sweet waffle with sugar crystals baked in - delish!) with Belgian chocolate bars inside. They melt and are super gooey and yummy. I had mine topped with creme fraiche, which is like a thick whipped cream. The waffle is very sweet - more like a dessert than a breakfast. That didn't stop me from eating it for breakfast, though. I also had the frites, which are just Belgian french fries. They just tasted like really good fries, but the unique thing about the fries are the sauces you can get with them. We had the curry ketchup, and it was surprisingly delicious. A bit of a kick, but not really too spicy. I needed something salty to go with my Torpedo waffle since it was so sweet. Yes - I had all of this for breakfast.

What was the worst thing you ate?
Jen: I really would recommend everything I ate, but next time I would get a plain waffle (not the chocolate stuffed torpedo one) for breakfast. Maybe a plain or cinnamon one with creme fraiche... The torpedo would be good as a dessert.

How was the service?
Jen: The service was great. The owner took our order, and despite how busy he was, he took the time to recommend his favorite dipping sauces for the frites. It was busy, but we received our order quickly. They have the whole process streamlined pretty well - it's a popular place to eat, and we didn't have to wait too long for our food (maybe 10 minutes).

Would you go back?
Jen: I would absolutely go back to the restaurant - I'm anxious to try other waffles on the menu. They're also famous for their Machine Gun sandwich (lamb sausage) that I'd like to try. They also serve a Flemish stew, but it's only served seasonally (Nov through April). Their hours change seasonally, but their summer hours are 9am-8pm (weeknights) and 9am-10pm (weekends). Their winter hours are 9am-7pm (weeknights) and 9am-9pm (weekends.)
